We continue to offer technical support, replacement parts, servicing and in-house repairs for Empureo bikes after the warranty period. Appropriate parts, labour and transport charges may apply to work outside warranty.

You don't have to.

If you'd rather not fit a replacement part yourself or take your bike to another bicycle shop, you can return the complete bike to our West Midlands workshop, where our technicians can inspect and repair it. Transporting a complete bike to Empureo typically costs approximately £15–£30, depending on location and collection service. This is the transportation cost to our workshop, not the cost of the repair.

For an approved warranty repair, the covered repair is carried out free of charge and Empureo covers delivery of the repaired bike back to you, subject to our warranty terms and statutory rights.

Yes. We keep replacement parts for Empureo bikes in stock in the UK so that common repairs and warranty issues can be dealt with efficiently.

For straightforward issues, we can often provide technical assistance or send the required replacement part directly to you. If workshop attention is required, your bike can be returned to Empureo and repaired in-house by our technicians.

Items that naturally wear through normal bicycle use, such as brake pads, tyres and inner tubes, aren't covered for normal wear. Damage caused by accidents, misuse, incorrect maintenance, unauthorised modifications or normal cosmetic wear is also excluded. If you're unsure whether something is normal wear or a possible defect, contact us and we'll help assess it.

Empureo provides a 2-year warranty on the frame, battery, motor and controller, subject to our full warranty terms.

Depending on the model and riding conditions, an Empureo can achieve up to approximately 100km / 62 miles, with typical charging taking around 2–4 hours. Actual range varies with rider weight, terrain, gradients, temperature, tyre pressure, assistance level and riding style.

Yes. Your Empureo arrives fully assembled. There are no pedals, handlebars or major components for you to install.

Before riding, simply carry out the normal safety checks, including checking tyre pressures and ensuring the folding mechanism and fasteners are correctly adjusted and secure.

Yes. Empureo e-bikes are designed for everyday riding in normal wet-weather conditions.

Key electrical components are individually water-resistant, with protection ratings ranging from IPX4 to IPX7 depending on the component, including the battery enclosure, motor, controller, display, lights and electrical wiring.

Empureo bikes are water-resistant, not waterproof. They should not be submerged, pressure washed or deliberately exposed to high-pressure water. After riding in heavy rain, we recommend drying the bike and storing it in a dry environment.

Yes. The torque-sensing assistance responds naturally to your pedalling effort to help with gradients.

If you regularly ride in hillier areas, the Signature Auto's automatic 3-speed gearing provides additional gearing flexibility.

Yes. Empureo e-bikes are designed to comply with applicable UK electrically assisted pedal cycle requirements, including a 250W motor and electrical assistance up to 15.5mph (25km/h).

You can continue pedalling beyond this speed. The electrical assistance simply stops providing power above the permitted assistance limit.

A torque sensor measures how much pressure you're applying through the pedals and adjusts the motor assistance accordingly.

This gives Empureo a smoother and more natural riding feel than systems that simply detect whether the pedals are turning.

Gates Carbon Drive belts are designed for exceptional longevity and significantly lower maintenance than a traditional bicycle chain. Depending on riding conditions, correct setup and use, a Gates belt can typically last around 20,000–30,000 miles.

There's no fixed guaranteed replacement mileage, as belt life varies with riding conditions, load and maintenance. Unlike a chain, the belt requires no oil or lubrication. Simply keep it clean and periodically inspect its condition.

Gates Carbon Drive is clean, quiet and low maintenance. Unlike a conventional chain, there's no chain oil or grease, no regular lubrication and significantly less drivetrain maintenance.
